I have trained thousands of citizens in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Illinois since 2004 to responsibly carry and use lethal force. There is a huge difference between carrying a gun and knowing when (and when not) to use it.
There are many things a person needs to know to survive an attack physically, morally, legally and financially beyond the minimum training required to obtain a permit or license to go armed in public. So much, that I have co-authored three textbooks written specifically for Minnesota, Wisconsin and Illinois that all LTI students in each of these states receive as a part of their training. I promise you that if you wait until after you have used your gun in self defense to learn these things, it will be too late.
If you think it is cool to carry a gun or shoot someone to save your life or the lives of those you love, watch the short video and audio below captured on a cell phone. This is a real home invasion and these are real people, not actors.
The man in the video did what he had to do to save himself and his family. Could you do this? Would you do this?

As this video shows, when an intruder bursts into your home and seconds count, retrieving a gun from a locked safe or fumbling to remove a trigger lock under stress could literally mean the difference between your living or dying.
A "carry gun" is a working gun. It is constantly "on the clock".
